The pale cream Cotswold stone produces wonderful effects of light and shade, highlighting the beauty of the architecture, particularly when floodlit as in the photograph of the tower. The delicate tracery of the fan vaulting in the cloisters is an architectural masterpiece, and a joy to photograph.
