Photographs of Cotswold Villages
This collection of photographs show a selection of some of the
typical Cotswold villages. There are few towns on the Cotswold hills
and some of the two hundred or so Cotswold villages are barely hamlets,
but all blend in beautifully with the landscape.
On the north wold around Chipping Campden and Broadway the buildings
are constructed from the famous honey-coloured Cotswold stone. in
the central wolds the buildings are pearly white, and in the south
a soft grey. Many of the villages are beautifully named, such as
Windrush and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Tourism is now the main occupation with antique shops, crafts and
café's being popular attractions.
