Corn bales near Taddington

For anyone who has driven through the Cotswolds in September, the scene in this photograph will be a familiar sight. Our picture was taken just after a thunder storm - and when the sun reappeared, the rounded hay bales were enhanced by the mellow early evening light.

The hamlet of Taddington lies near the village of Cutsdean and is home to a popular architectural salvage company which specializes in garden antiques and statuary. Isolated high in the Cotswolds, Taddington is a far cry from the more commercialized tourist centers such as Broadway and Bourton on-the-Water.
