Our photograph is another classic Cotswold scene. Looking through
an open gate across the rolling fields of golden stubble in the
early evening light, this picture was taken near the village of
Guiting Power. Situated six miles from Stow on-the-Wold, the village
lies on the slopes of the Windrush valley, and is thus very popular
with artists and photographers alike.
The Cotswold Farm Park, a rare breeds centre, is a popular tourist
attraction for families, particularly in spring at the height of
the lambing season, when children can watch the young animals being
born.
