Westonbirt Arboretum

The Forestry Commission have been responsible for the preservation of Westonbirt for the past forty five years.

The collection contains about three thousand seven hundred different types of trees and woody plants with examples of trees from all over the world. There are one hundred and four 'Champion' trees which are the largest of their type in Britain, as well as one hundred and nine 'Red Data Species' which are at risk of extinction. Our photograph shows one of the most spectacularly coloured trees in the Acer Glade.
